Hi,

new to web hosting - I have a VPS & whmcs -
It seems enom integrates the best with whmcs, but has a hefty initial investment.

Are there other registrars that may be just as good, but have a smaller initial investment?

I'm currently playing with hexonet.net (no initial fees), but I have yet to run across any reviews of them.

What do you think?w

Namecheap are an enom reseller so you might be able to work with them to get better pricing?

Netearthone.com are pretty good. They use Logicbox platform so it should work.
OnlineNIC are pretty bad with customer support and reputation wise.
Godaddy, They are with their policies
Dotster, umm... they ok
Moniker, umm.... large number tld's

Depending on where and how you got WHMCS, you can get an Enom or ResellerClub account with better pricing from your WHMCS provider. Like if you have WHMCS directly from the developers you can get a $8.95 account at both Enom or ResellerClub. WHMCS integrates well with both the providers, you just have to apply through them. Or you can go with a reputed reseller of either of them.

I'd recommend resell.biz. We paid a deposit but I don't think it's required.

I purchased my VPS through KnownHost - and frankly, am surprised that they don't have any kind of deal with enom. Most hosting providers do, and I mistakenly assumed that knownhost would as well. Oh well. I've been playing with hexonet and earthone - but I would be more open to an enom reseller - anyone know of a reputable one?

Enom is good, it's working great at our end. It has got a great interface with WHMCS.

Another vote for eNom. 100$ minimum deposit is nothing really. You soon make your money back anyway.

In this case you can have a look at http://www.domainsmarty.com/resellers.php it's run by mrzippy (quite an old member here).

Though WHMCS works fully with any registrar/reseller running on LogicBoxes platform.

With Enom, I believe you need to make a hefty deposit upfront if you need to buy domains from them at $7.

Personally, Godaddy would work out better

I think WHMCS does not have Godaddy integration.

I prefer Enom, they have a great setup and everything is easy to do. They also run quartley sales which are usually pretty good.

eNom are not the best Reseller for the last 8 or 9 years straight for nothing. They are the best. If you want the best go with eNom.

Nope, GoDaddy don't offer an API for WHMCS to tap into.
