If your servers are in the Burst.net DC, they have a $35/month deal. If not, just search, and there should be a whole bunch of results around $50-65/month.

Considering what it costs a Cpanel Distributor for external licenses...that is a good price you found. I know our company will not lower pricing at all, due to the fact that it is just not worth the time of our support staff to deal with Cpanel support issues for very little profit. We would rather sell to less clients, at a higher rate, and have less support to handle. Smaller companies do not have to worry about that as much, so you'll find them discounting the licenses heavily.

He shouldn't see anything in the $50-59 area considering it's against the CPanel Distro rules to sell the licenses for < $60/mo last time i checked :D. IMHO thats kind of a good thing, because as much as i do love cheap prices, if one organization started selling CPanel licenses, got it discounted to $50/mo because of quantity, passed that on, got discounted to $40/mo because of quantity, passed that on, got discounted to $30/mo, then finally $25/mo because of quantity..... well that'd cause so much trouble for the rest of hosts, so some form of regulation isn't bad :).

I seriously doubt anyone is selling externals for $40 on a regular basis. That is below cost for external....

They probably selling internal license externally, I wonder what they're going to do when DarkORB find out.

Personally, I wouldn't trust it unless a Cpanel rep told me it was legit. I'm all for saving a few bucks, but that sounds a bit dodgy to me.

LivePlanets still offers CPanel 3 with their dedicated servers  ... I once had a trial account with them, called them, and I when I could understand the guy under his mumbling, he was absolutely no help.

Support is a good excuse to keep the price at its maximum level. How many support tickets can you get in a year for cpanel?

I would think there will be other reasons why burst.net won't lower its prices. Not wanting to compete directly with cpanel.net's prices may be one of them.
