Currently, I use a DNS/E-mail redirect service to the site hosted by my ISP. The primary purpose is to keep the same e-mail address for life, and do not expect many hits (or want many) on my website, but would like a lot of storage space. The DNS re-direct costs me ~$50/year.
I was looking at some of the hosts on HostSearch.com, and see that some are less than $5/month. I'm not looking for anything more expensive than what I've got now and am wondering if this might be too good to be true.

Reliability is also very important.

So, do you always get what you pay for?

Also, With my needs in mind (cheap - <$5/mo, 100Mb+, 5Gb+ transfer - just in case, and reliable), are there any hosting companies that you would reccomend/would meet my needs.

Subdoimains would also be nice.

i suggest you turn your e-mail on so that hosts can e-mail you offers

Well, I'm not sure I'm to the point where I need/want offers/ads/etc in my e-mail box. I was just exploring the issue as to how far $5/$10 will go...and if I should generally avoid these types of rates or not.

And there is always Private Messaging.

Thanks.

Not sure if you were aware, but when you enable email on the board senders don't get your address. The board forwards the message to you, so you don't have to worry about spam, etc.
