I want to know how much commission is charged by third party payment gateways in your country ?

Here in India (offered by a first time non-banker) it is 5% of the sale amount for credit card payments.

And 4% for direct bank to bank transactions.

One time set up fee is about 400$
(or 100$ but it will attract 7% commission instead of 5%)

Advantage is it has all the major banks affiliated to the gateway. Intitial investment is low.

In Australia:

I use Commonweath Bank for my Merchant Account and www.eway.com.au as my Payment Gateway.

Merchant account charges:
$0 setup
$0 monthly
MTF (Merchant Transaction Fee) Between 1.8% - 4.5%

Eway charges:
$.50C from each transaction
$99 Setup
$35 monthly
