General question: Do you think you can trust every authorize.net reseller? Is authorize.net screening their resellers to make sure they stick to their requirements?

What do you think?

As is the case with any business relationship, there is a chance that the other party will mislead you or abuse your trust. However, given that credit card processing is a service in which obvious security hazards are involved, Authorize.net has implemented a number of ways to screen resellers. First and foremost, one cannot apply to be a reseller solely over the web; a long contract and application process are involved. This is a screening process in and of itself, since it presents legal and financial barriers to entry. If any abuse takes place, it hopefully won't be because you are dealing with an illegitimate organization (which happens frequently with actual web hosts), but rather because the person at the organization you are dealing with lacks integrity.

Thanks! That is very useful information. I looked at all their resellers and the pricing and found quite some difference. That's why I asked.
