Hi Everyone,
Has anyone heard and/or had experience with this reseller? They seem really new: www.apollohosting.com . Or any suggestions of a better one than the packages they offer?
Thanks,
Soph
P.S. - I am really new to this.

Hi,
I'm also looking into Apollo Hosting. They seem to have a really good deal and I'm thinking of moving away from he.net which I've been really happy with.
The reason I'm thinking of moving is becuase of the 500 MB for nearly $40 a month and the 8GB Transfer. I'm planning to create a geocities type web site for my community but when I asked them if I could do this apollo said no.
I'm not sure why they said no but now I'm hesitant about going with them.
Thanks,
RaverX

One word. SLOW. They load up too many clients on one server..

Yeah.. I had a client which I was designing a site for was on there and it was pretty slow.. Besides slow.. My client's website had error 500 or time outs every other time it loads..

Well.. You can try those who are most liked here such as
Ventures Online (http://www.venturesonline.com)
Wizards Hosting (http://www.wizardshosting.com)
Site 5 (http://www.site5.com)
and many others..
Try searching here (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=3053)
Thanks for your input Acetate! I checked out Wizards Hosting and Ventures Online. But, they don't mention on their site whether they support Flash, Shockwave, Cold Fusion, or Perl? I sent them email, but do you happen to know off-hand if they do support these? Site5 does, but I like the other two's prices better.

I'm sure they support flash/shockwave as that is mostly a client-side issue and not server side.... They probably support PERL as well. I'm not sure about cold fusion.

I believe Cold Fusion is only on window based systems isn't it? Yeah I'm sure those server support perl, etc... but don't think they have CF support.. Why not contact them and ask?

Acetate,
Thanks so much. I've sent all my questions to site5 and hopefully they will get back to me but they are the top of my list.
Thanks,
Jonathan

ColdFusion runs on unix based hosts as well, we just got our brand new server and we are installing coldfusion on it (linux machine):D
