how much space is required for a osCommerce store with say 100 products (with product images of average size...maybe 25 Kb each)

The initial install (with sample products) is 6 MB. So 100 items 25K each would ~3.0 MB. Now let say each product page is 10K that would be 1 more MB. I would guess it would be around 11 MB; however this is pure guess so you might ask someone who actually has 100 items.

Well, most likely you are removing the sample images so my guess is less than 10MB. To be safe maybe shoot for 10MB. Also, I'd love to find out how to install osCommerce on my site? I've tried the limited help they supply and have been very unsuccessful. Anyone have information on that as well?

My clients have an auto-install option from their control panel - among other programs - so it takes only a few seconds.

As for doing a manual install, it is not too hard. I *think* I had a good PDF with instructions to do that. I will see if I can find it.
