View Full Version : VOIP Provider
agustin 02-24-2010, 03:26 PM Hello,
I open this post to ask if you know any VOIP provider with HIGH QUALITY to call all over the world? It's very important that the provider has a GREAT QUALITY in the comunication.
Thanks for your answer!
Regards,
njoker555 02-24-2010, 03:43 PM For phone? or like teamspeak?
agustin 02-24-2010, 03:45 PM For phone Please!
njoker555 02-24-2010, 03:47 PM MagicJack? Vonage? I've used both and they are both pretty good quality. Made calls from US to Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Used Vonage before and it worked great, even used skype for a while with no problems.
Vonnage hands-down. :agree:
No need to have computer running like magic jack.
Can do all kinds of neat stuff included-word wide long distance no charge, forward to any number, caller ID and all the extras like that are included-3 way calling etc.
Track all calls in CP. Can get toll-free for $5 a month extra. No complaints at all and price is VERY reasonable ($24.99 for 1line)
Just great service and in at least 7-8 years have Never had anybody ask if I was on something besides "land line" even when calling Italy & such. So quality is superb as long as you have high speed provider.
Takes about 128k of your connection. On my 6KDSL have had kids playing games, me logged into servers doing work for customer while they were on phone, wife using her computer and then a fax comes in---no problems or slow downs for anybody and I don't have new high speed wireless yet. So I have no complaints in all these years.
Maybe a modem re-boot 1-2 times a year because DSL dropped off and had to get all the connections"taking" to each other again but that's' only 2-3 minutes down twice a year or so - no complaints with that-it can happen to any router.
Been Using Skype for about 1 year 1/2. Love the service because it's quite affordable. Quality is 80% imo. A little static-y at times and sometimes difficult to hear, could be a connection problem.
Other than that, I'm a satisfied customer and use it almost daily to cut the cell-phone bill costs. Not to mention, it saves me time as it integrates nicely with my address book so one click dialing is a nice addon.
don_13 02-25-2010, 05:13 PM ntelecom should work fine
inspiroHost 02-25-2010, 09:07 PM I just use Skype.
speckl 02-25-2010, 10:50 PM I'm using Skype as well. $60/year is hard to beat. Includes a local number, the typical extras, and unlimited calling to the US and Canada. I've only had one moment with a static issue and it corrected itself in 10 seconds.
mach1webdesign 02-26-2010, 11:19 PM Hostgator offer VOIP now and has a good reputation.
AudioVideoWebGuy 03-01-2010, 04:58 PM I have been tempted to try the HostGator VOIP but I haven't heard anything about the service yet. Anyone else ever use it?
Thanks
e-view 03-02-2010, 02:37 PM For a quality its definitely Skype. If you go for price - Voipcheap.com or any other Betamax GmbH & Co website voip - al are the same(from one same company) only few prices and conditions and website design templates may vary.
hostitquick 03-02-2010, 05:24 PM nonoh.net they have good prices and give 90 days free calling
mach1webdesign 03-15-2010, 04:50 PM I haven't tried the Hostgator VOIP but I've had good luck with their hosting.
fivewarp 03-15-2010, 10:14 PM I recommend Future-Nine.com, its what we have been using since last July. Future9 is a SIP provider: A local phone number is just $5 a month and outbound calls are just a cent a minute. We couldn't find anything that beat that.
dkb_dbaker 03-18-2010, 03:31 PM not sure if this helps, but ooma.com has a lifetime service. i have used this for about a year now and been surprised at just how well it has worked.
Atlas Global 03-23-2010, 07:48 AM I recommend Future-Nine.com, its what we have been using since last July. Future9 is a SIP provider: A local phone number is just $5 a month and outbound calls are just a cent a minute. We couldn't find anything that beat that.
VOIP.ms is very good... I've been using them for over a year now. Phone numbers or DID's as they are called are only $1.49 a month.
Call's to Canada are half a cent, USA calls are 1 cent.
aceunified 05-07-2010, 04:55 PM Vonage is just awesome! Great voice quality. :D
BH-Greg 05-11-2010, 10:11 AM I have about 2-3 family members that have used it and all they told me was never get it. Now I seen many vonage t.v comercials they look like pros. I have heard stuff from friends and they told me its some pretty nice stuff they have going on with vonage.
X30Host 06-26-2010, 09:47 PM Skype is affordable and very reliable! I use them and have no complaints!
cwells 07-21-2010, 09:55 PM I'd avoid Vonage at all costs. You may or may not get good service (it seems hit and miss). What you will get is shafted if you decide it isn't for you. They have a cancellation fee of $120 and you get to keep your now worthless equipment (all of it is Vonage-locked).
Without disagreeing with the nice people here, I highly suggest you Google "vonage sucks" prior to making a decision.
In my own personal experience, I found Vonage to be on par with other VOIP providers (varying call quality, sometimes good, sometimes unacceptable, sometimes one-way). What completely turns me off to them is their cellco-like attitude toward early termination. I recommend people avoid them just for that.
4solutions 07-21-2010, 10:49 PM Well, I've been using www.PhonePower.com and I have to say that the quality of the calls are actually 5 times better than my AT&T regular phone line.
I did have some problems getting everything initially sorted out and working (turned out I had a bad ATA device) - but support was overall great.
Best thing is that they have this cloned line included which kind of acts like a second line - so two people can call out at the same time. But, it was a little confusing at first when you had two lines ringing in at the same time.
Been with them for about 18 months under this 2nd year free deal... my only concern is how they will treat me price wise when I need to renew in 6 months.
But, overall, the service, support and price have been very impressive so far... I guess we'll see what happens in 6 months after the "honeymoon deal" ends. :D
webRulon 08-18-2010, 10:35 AM Ringcentral is pretty good
pbhosting 08-25-2010, 06:20 AM vocalocity is good, but make sure your sales rep doesn't try to screw you. I used them for about a year before switching to my own system. they have a great small business system for small offices, and no one ever asked me if i was on a landline. i had two POP numbers, one on east coast, one west coast, and never had a quality issue. was an ok admin interface on the back end.. sometimes if you have too many on hold music songs it gets a lil cranky with you.
just watch your bill carefully. my rep quoted me for one price for features, but when i got my bill, it was regular priced. i had to do a chargeback on my credit card in order to force their hand into working with me to resolve the issue.
when i was with them they required credit card to be on file so they can auto charge your account. i frown upon anyone who insists on autocharging for services because it always leads to issues like what occured with me.
hope you find a good solution
david3 08-30-2010, 02:13 AM I tried several different services and found Callcentric to be the best, in my opinion. I've been using Callcentric for 3+ years now.
CymraegWalesHosting 09-20-2010, 12:30 AM I wouldn't touch Skype. It's terrible quality. I will second Voip.ms. Only tried them once for a call and the quality appeared to be alright.
Vashey 09-25-2010, 06:13 PM Vonage is a cheap provider but not the best service.
NorCal Internet 09-27-2010, 12:15 AM Vitelity and bandwidth.com are two that I've used (And still use) for years... They have their occassional issues, as all VoIP providers seem too...
Vitelity is fairly cheap with decent service. Bandwidth.com is not so cheap, but the service is great.
Marleymangoth 10-11-2010, 10:36 AM I have been using Voipfone for 3 years now, their list of free extras is great and their service is great too. http://www.voipfone.co.uk/
shriparna 11-04-2010, 04:05 PM Hi,
I tried voipcore.com and it worked for me. Hope you will get some help from here.
jaydeep78 11-23-2010, 05:18 AM Hi,
To create a applications that will have SDK include IVR (Interactive Voice Response) Systems, Conference Servers, Callback Systems, and other telephony applications then voipcore.com/ is a good option.
humawebdesign 01-21-2011, 04:48 PM you can check Nono Talk, its voice quality is good and services is providing all over the world. you can buy it online with the use of paypal or credit cards.
xtreme-hosting 02-06-2011, 01:36 PM I've used Sipgate and they're pretty affordable
Colo-Serv 02-16-2011, 01:37 AM Try linkvoice.ca all my company lines are over there ans they give a good service.
Great management panel for your line with graphs. Prepaid or postpaid payment available. They have DIDs all around the world depending from which location you are.
JimDuncan 02-16-2011, 02:26 AM I recommend MagicJack..
Other than the fact that every time a number is dialed on the phone the program will minimize whatever is open on your computer it's great.
OurChurch 02-16-2011, 12:34 PM Are you looking for a full VOIP provider or a provider to provide SIP service to your existing VOIP device? Packet8 is a good VOIP provider, although they seem to cater exclusively to the business market now. les.net is a good SIP provider with decent calling rates.
kc_trades 02-22-2011, 05:42 PM MagicJack, Vonage, and few others are so far most known to the public.. Is there any good service, cheap or decent provider, as well as a cost that can be maintained on a regular basis?
DragonDF 03-03-2011, 02:09 PM Here in Brazil I think the options are not the same all you refered.
I visited and signed in in voip . ms but they ask you a ID CARD... a copy of your car's card. Sure I will not send this for them. I have never listened about this company before today. Skype is well know all over the world and do not ask this. What a ridiculous.
I am using: Skype and Betamax net.
les . net looks like to work only in Canada and USA.
What do we have to Latin America countries?
Tks
plh1020 03-09-2011, 02:13 PM We use a company called Southeast Voice and Data, they are pretty good. They do hosted pbx.
I have used skype before but I just don't really like talking into a computer.
Question Everything 03-13-2011, 02:31 PM Pingtone, if this is for business, and it's important enough to you to pay good money for it (and you can afford that). They aren't cheap, but they help you with the network setup, and insist you have a decent router which is a necessity anyway. Their calls are crystal clear, they have top notch support, and the system is reliable, but you will pay good money for it. The only problems I've had with their service have been my bad wires, or my ISP, neither of which could possibly be their fault. They're cheaper than POTS lines (not by all that much), and if your internet connection is as reliable, you can't tell the difference. I can't recommend them enough. You get what you pay for. I use them for work.
When and if I make international calls from home, and want high quality, I use a land line and a calling card from the 7-11. Even with that, I sometimes have quality issues, particularly if you call Australia (from US east coast), the latency is noticeable in conversation; damn the laws of physics.
Vinayak_Sharma 03-13-2011, 07:42 PM Have a look at http://www.nettalk.com $69.95 includes hardware and first year of service, each additional year is $29.95. No need to keep your PC on as it hooks directly to your router. Unlimited calls to USA and Canada, get you a USA number and voice quality is great.
I have been using MagicJack since it came out and NetTalk when it was called TK6000 and came for $99 lifetime, both have been great for me so far.
HostTiger 03-13-2011, 07:51 PM I've had luck with callcentric for about 2 years and counting. Excellent plans and no connection problems.
Callcentric was a great VoIP trunk provider. I had it going to a Elastix VoIP PBX system with IVR menus and the whole works with Cisco 7940 phones. Pretty cheap to. Callcentric is pretty big VoIP provider I think out of NY.
BytemarkDeals 03-22-2011, 09:54 AM I've found Gradwell, AAISP, Magrathea, Hostcomm, AQL are all good UK VOIP and trunking providors..
nsdown 03-31-2011, 06:16 AM Skype is a better choice
MXV-CPence 04-04-2011, 12:01 AM PhonePoeple has some nice services and some excellent IVR compatibilities. :agree:
