Chris JSpired 12-01-2002, 03:04 AM I have and found it very useful. A few others around here have discussed it in the past if you want to have a look: http://webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=730194&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending vhedesigns 12-01-2002, 04:49 AM Although I do not currently have QuickBooks setup for CC charges it seems to be an excellent choice. My only problem would to not be able to verify the card when the hosting order is placed. This would lead could lead to an increase in time spent tracking down the correct billing method. However, QuickBooks uses VeriSign for its merchant services so if one was able to obtain the VeriSign login information then you could integrate online. Does anyone know if you are able to obtain the VeriSign login information when you sign up with QuickBooks? miami_g 12-01-2002, 10:22 AM we use, it got too big and now migrating to ubersmith re quickbooks GOOD ability to anlyze roi very well email invoices paypal integration BAD the recurring mechanism can get confusing wells fargo sucks- they hold your money 3 biz days for sport and they charge higher %. overall good until you get too big, stay away from wells fargo. when you get large enough quickbooks becomes an anchor. dos centavos bwho2 12-01-2002, 10:24 AM quickbooks works fine for smaller ops, but like miami said.. it can become an anchor crpelon 12-01-2002, 10:26 AM Thanks for the great feedback! acameron 12-01-2002, 02:41 PM I didn't like QB. It was not designed very well for service providing companies. I recommend you check out some of the software designed especially for hosting companies. aNc crpelon 12-01-2002, 07:55 PM acameron, What features did you miss in QB? -Chris DD-SNC 12-02-2002, 01:45 AM QuickBooks is great for managing accounts payable. That's all we use it for. I'd never use it for customer management. vhedesigns 12-02-2002, 01:52 AM Why not use it for customer management? We do and it seems to work fine but we only have a small group of web development & hosting clients (Approx 20). |
