Hope i have posted this i the right section :)

I am looking for a little help pointing my domain to my new hosting provider.

My domain is registered at 123reg and i wish to point it to my new hosting over at xxxxxxxxx :D

Do i need to change the nameservers to the ones that my new host uses and wait 24/48hrs ?

also i have got an dedicated ip address do i need to use this ?

i hope someone can help because am pulling my hair out :(

P.S would i beable to point the domain to the hosting just buy changing the A , WWW RECORDS to the dedicated ip ?

Ask your 'new host', if they don't help you with that,
then think about what will happen when you have dificult problems/questions.

Anyway, log into your 123 account and change the nameservers to those provided by your new host.
Waiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit maybe as long as 72 hours, longest wait of your life.

You 'new host' should 'set up' the IP for you.

asked them and got a 1 line reply saying change the nameservers to ours,:)

not much use to be honest considering its their support service :)

erm.. what about this framed forwarding/non framed forwarding/ holding page, which one do i select ?
