View Full Version : Plesk 9.3 & DNS (Microsoft DNS or BIND) SOA Bug?

Hello,

I've setup Windows Server with Plesk 9.3 to run as name server for all hosted domains but I am noticing that even if I correct the DNS entries so that SOA server is DNS1.DOMAIN.TLD insted of DNS2.DOMAIN.TLD by hand or under Microsoft DNS directly, Plesk reverts the setup of SOA to be DNS2.DOMAIN.TLD in some domains...

I can't figure out why this is happenning and although it seems harmeless, it still is a bug... I think!

Someone has noticed this issue also? And how to correct it?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's probably plesk at fault, but good luck trying to contact parallels support about this :)

Please verify your dns template too made in plesk too, which plesk is using to revert back.

Hello,

After some digging I've found how to fix the issue.

It's related to how Plesk writes dns records to db. Just need to update the records so that the timestamp of dns1.domain.tld is lower than dns2.domain.tld.

Thank you for your comments anyway!
