I've been poking around lately, looking at webhost sites and just admiring the total and abject lies they have on their websites. One site I was just at advertises OC-48 and OC-192 hops all across the country... it looked pretty similar to the Cogent map, but apparently this company offers this OC-192 crap.

I mean, do people SERIOUSLY believe all the flagrant lies on these websites? Is there any point in even being honest at this point, being that it seems like most webhosts are saying their networks are better than AT&T?

Actually people do notice that stuff. Many just don't know what it all means. Some will walk away, and others will bite, and bitten right back.

I mean, come on, OC-192 links? This from someone who's reselling a box off someone elses T-1 line... it's like totally fantasy land reading some of these sites, I gotta wonder if people actually believe it.
