I am looking for a new host because my old host went out of business (name is not important). Anyway, I just quickly scanned WHT and saw lots of good reviews for Hawk Host.

This is just a personal account. I am not running a business. I will just be using it for a blog (I do photography) and I also have a few other files I keep online. I don't need tons of room. I can't afford much for hosting. My previous account was a free account. I'm not going back to free hosting. Too unreliable.

Anyway... I was considering Hawk Host for their 50% off special, but then I found out about Surpass' GetOneLove deal. I don't need 500 GB, but I was attracted to their $12 for the first year.

Any thoughts?

I see lots of reviews on here for HawkHost, but not many for Surpass.

BTW... My "free" host gave me a dedicated IP for free! Can anyone meet that one?

Generally hosts advertise free dedicated ips with their reseller plans only, however with asking I'm sure sure several will give that to you on a standard account.

Its rare to see a free host live for very long as the business model generally does not support the costs.

I agree. That's why I'm looking at HawkHost or Surpass.

We have a lot of reseller accounts on Surpass for years. Their support response time is under one hour in average. The uptime of the servers are about 99.9%. The plan features are rich. I recommend them.

Go with Hawk Host and Cody will take care of you :)
