Hi all,

I am having a problem with WHMCS, I have set up the server and eveything.

The problem is that I can create accounts in WHMCS and the accounts are not created in WHM,

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dan

Make sure that the server you setup is the default server for accounts to be setup on.

Have you given permissions in WHMCS to create the accounts, meaning have you given proper credentials to log into the server you are trying to create accounts on?

What error message is returned when trying to create them if any?

More info about your situation would be helpful in diagnosing your issue and providing an applicable resolution....

I have had this problem as well, who is your reseller provider, they could probably help you out with this.

Thanks, They are set as default,

Im also getting this error

Connection Error
couldn't connect to host (Code 7) - Check IP/Blocked Firewall Ports

but my host says these ports are open.

Cheers,
Dan

My current host is HostClear

Never had such an issue, but I shall say the the WHMCS support is very good and answers within an our or two on support tickets even when you set the priority to "Medium". So why don't you go ask them what to do?

If you are getting a message that you cannot connect to the host, then something is blocking your connection. I would verify that your host has allowed the right permissions and ports to be opened and assigned for WHMCS and that you have entered the correct information to have it connect to.....

Please take a look at our documentation: http://wiki.whmcs.com/Common_Troubleshooting_Tips#Server_Command_Error_-_Curl_Error_-_Couldn.27t_connect_to_host_.287.29

I see: Updated 31 December 2009

I presume this is where the mistake lies?

Are you sure everything has been configured properly? All your whmcs packages match your whm packages?

The error is blocking your IP where the WHMCS script installed, so you need to check your firewall in your server, brute force and add your IP to allow access.

I too had this problem when I first installed WHMCS.
After trying several things it ended up being a syntax error in the welcome email template which I had modified.

A syntax error in a welcome email template caused you not to be able to connect to a server?

You wouldn't think it would but whmcs support found the syntax error and reset the template and everthing worked. I couldn't believe it either so I copied the contents of the good template and saved it and then I pasted in the contents of the one I modified and the error returned. I eventually just set the welcome emails to plain text and modified them the way I wanted and they all work now.
