Rudzer 12-01-2002, 06:47 AM anybody having problems getting answer from the for the past 2 days! We are very interested in get a server from them but this lack of response (to iether mails and icq msgs) is kinda disturbing if you know what I mean :( Brian S 12-02-2002, 02:08 AM It's thanksgiving weekend. If it's a sale inquiry, it at least give them until Monday to respond. I sent them an email earlier last week and received a response within a day or two. Brian clocker1996 12-02-2002, 07:29 AM lol a day or two for a sales inquiriy on non-holidays is acceptable to you? amazing. trustedurl.com 12-02-2002, 12:29 PM Originally posted by clocker1996 lol a day or two for a sales inquiriy on non-holidays is acceptable to you? amazing. Why not? As long as support answers quickly.... support != sales Rudzer 12-02-2002, 02:40 PM Originally posted by clocker1996 lol a day or two for a sales inquiriy on non-holidays is acceptable to you? amazing. Thinking +/- like that specially since that mail was asking for signup link! But willing to give them another chance (sent another mail ;) )! Keep in mind the porpuse of my posts isn't to badmouth the company since we are fairly interested in it! :D x86brandon 12-02-2002, 06:53 PM During non holidays, we respond easily within 24 hours or less... But it was a holiday, most people aren't even open. clocker1996 12-02-2002, 07:53 PM Just saying. I don't like waiting around 24hours or more, just for a quote. If you email a company, and say it takes them 5 days to get back to you, then do you guys think that makes them look good support wise? IF it was me, and they took 5 days to respond (for instance), then I would get the impression that their support is slow as hell. Gotta make a good impression. Remember folks, it was just an example (5 days) Rudzer 12-02-2002, 07:56 PM OFFTOPIC: clocker how can I contact you m8? Got a few questions about some stuff! clocker1996 12-02-2002, 07:58 PM sent you a PM. Brian S 12-02-2002, 08:16 PM Yes, a day or two for response is acceptable for this type of service. When I'm pursuing bandwidth providers, it's the quality of response that counts, not necessarily how quickly they get back to me. If it had been three or more days -- and been a general non-holiday business week -- yes, I likely would have ruled them out. However, I sent a specific email with specific requests, and received a specific response, not a one-liner to satisfy some time requirement. FWIW, I did talk with the apparent owner today. He seemed straightforward, and they do offer good pricing on collocation. They're on my list when the time comes to grow 250Host. Brian |
