All I can tell you is it'll be a lot! We were quoted £5900 per month for a dedicated 2 MBit line, so I dread to think how much 10 MBit will be.

OK, theres such a thing as a split. 5mbit UK and 1mbit International will cost you around £356 a month inc VAT. 10mbit UK and 1mbit International around £560 a month inc VAT.

myIThost, no idea where you got that quote. Must of been a leased line, because b/w at places such as telehouse isnt that much.

We've actually seen a 10 MB connection in the UK to be about the same prices as in the US, ~$150-$180 / MB depending on the carrier.

If you are interested in low cost providers in the UK, feel free to contact us offlist.

Thank you,

Evan I believe asking people to contact you regarding a possible offer is against forum rule (I think). So i'd advise if it is that you retract your post.

Have a look for someone with a cage in Redbus or another London DC. You can get some good deals.

We can Accommodate Spam Traffic Requests

From your website ^^

Can you explain what exactly you mean by this?

I'm guessing it's exactly what it says. They use their feed to send out spam.

And I just tried to email you and got a bounce?!?!

Oh well - back to the point guys - how much are you paying for your connections in the UK - and where are you based?

Let me apologize if asking members to contact me offlist is a violation. I just presumed it was easier for all if we have this dialouge offlist.

As far as our accommodation of spam traffic, we are not a network or reseller. We are brokers matching buyers and sellers in the marketplace and represent over 200 carriers worldwide.

Some of the companies that we represent specialize in hosting 'opt-in' customers. Without starting a debate in the thread, the mailing business is a very, very big one and some of our clients have these highly specialized needs.

Also, not quite sure why emails to my evan@transitbroker.com address have gotten bounced?!?!? Perhaps you can give it another try.

Sorry for any confusion and alleged forum violations.

Thanks for the heads up.

If it's opt-in then why advertise it as dealing with people who send out Spam? Nice try, but try again

Evan001

Spam, opt-in or otherwise, that is not the topic of the thread.

The point is that we refer those clients to networks that support that type of traffic and are not a network ourselves as previously implied.

It's no big secret you can get Bandwith in the UK for around the same as in the US. Take some time to actually look around, get some quotes and you will see.

Ben

Ive had transit relationships with Claranet, Easynet and COLT at various times. I have had quotes from other companies as well, so i know most transit providers ball park figures.

Ben
