Anybody had a credit card(American express) decline problem when signing up for a dedicated with rackshack?

I exchanged few emails with their sales without any solution. Their system just does not accept my american express card.

:(

Yeah... there seems to be a problem with RackShack accepting Amex when you signup for a new server. I had to use a different credit card during signup. However, you are able to switch to Amex once your account is up and running by going to the biling credit card change form... yeah, lost some MR points there. :(

in retrospect, when it comes to customers providing a amex or visa, i pretty much smile when Amex is given

Why? less fraud, when a dispute comes in, amex is fair about it, in providing the merchant with fair responses that actually hold up in the dispute, unlike visa where the bank likely already decided its a no win situation, even after hearing your side of it...even if accepting amex is more $$

Though I don't except American Express cards (yet), I do have cards with them for personal and business use. And I'll have to agree with Neo3Net & AlaskanWolf, Amex is really small business friendly. Just gots to love 'em. Their blue cards looks neat too! :D

I dont think it is a amex problem. I am using it with hostrocket, oreilly,... and it has been working. I got it to use on the internet to be honest.

Disappointing.

I know you do not think it is Amex that is the problem however if you do not even make an attempt to contact them regarding the issue then you will not know what the problem is. RackShack.net using several verification processes in order to deter fraudulent signups. We do accept Amex cards, however all information must be entered as it appears on your credit card statement. If you are entering the information correctly then as you have been advised the best thing for you to do would be to contact Amex.

Thank you,
