OK I want to try out Litespeed in a live environment, and what a better way then on my file sharing site...

Only problem is when I install litespeed server, MySQL will not work

I tried recompiling PHP with MySQL and no joy, I get an error when connecting to mysql...

Anyone managed to get MySQL working with Litespeed?

What sort of errors are you are getting? Are you using any control panel.

I have, LiteSpeed with cPanel and Mysql is working great. It must be something your doing wrong..

i was trying to use it without a control panel, i do not use cpanel on my personal site so just had webmin installed

We've run it without issue on all sorts of configs, various different control panels, no control panel, etc. Maybe you could elaborate as to what errors you're getting?

MySQL is running properly and you've checked phpinfo to make sure it is compiled into PHP properly?

It sounds like you forgot to compile MySQL with PHP or you compiled against the wrong libs.

I have LiteSpeed Web Server running on our production server with MySql + LSPHP5 and it works perfectly. By the way we're using it in a cPanel based server.
