We are interested in obtaining a domain name that has expired and has been on hold now for over a year does anybody have any advice?

depends on the registrar of record. If netsol.com then they release when they feel like it. Of course they call it batching but seems like forever.

If some other registrar who knows. I have one that I registered through someone else and they seem to keep renewing it even though I don't use it nor do I have a need for it...been like 2 years now and it just keeps on renewing:confused:

It has Interland name servers so yea its Netsol (Argh!) I guess I will keep watching...

I got one away from Netsol that had expired in May of 1999...it was released just 3 months ago. If not for a lame delegation on one of the name servers forcing the issue, it would reside there still...
