Happy Thanksgiving WHT'ers...

As you may or may not know, debutstudios.com is a new hosting company with an emphasis on site marketing and promotion for our clients.
As our gesture of goodwill and holiday spirit, all orders placed between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day will be part of our charity donation program!
50% of all profits we generate on EACH hosting plan will be donated to charity. We do not know which one(s) yet, but this is the time to help those in need when you can.
Here at Debutstudios.com, we have seen our fair share of hard financial times (who hasn't?)...but since we make a small profit on every hosting plan, why not give some of it back to the community?
I encourage all of my fellow WHT'ers to do the same. This way, the naysayers reading this won't cry "cheap marketing tactic". I spend time reading this site, I know how petty some people can be.
At present time, we can only accept paypal, but rest assured we will live up to our end of this deal and HAPPILY PROVIDE documentation to prove our charitable donation and detailed profit structure generated to anyone who asks.
Thank you in advance for your participation, and happy holidays!

I think you're doing a good thing. I do suggest though that you pick a charity a post the name of it. Most people on this board are ultra-skeptical about any "goodwill" gesture.

You reputation is everything around here.

I'd be happy to entertain suggestions from the masses.
So many good causes...

I would help you but all the charities I know are Christian charities and I don't think that one of those would represent this online community very well.

Sorry.

Hey Jim,

Great Idea.

Maybe the American Lung Association of America.

As you know my Father just passed away from Lung Cancer.

Good luck with your hosting venture.

I second the lung association, but is there more of a global organization? Maybe the international lung association? (not even sure if this exists)

oh well, your heart is in the right place, good luck.

In these days of state-sponsored human rights abuses, how about Amnesty International?

The Cystic Fybrosis Foundation......

If you know of this disease then you are aware it is an extremely devastating one on children that causes great suffering and requires a lot of drugs and expensive treatment. Research is the key and of course that is expensive.

I do agree that it is better for you to designate a specific cause and if you are not sure then go with the United Way.

Thank you all for the wonderful ideas, I am leaning currently toward the American Cancer Society, but can't do much without participants.
I'm sure clients will come calling, I need to be patient.

Thanks again
(and a special thanks to simplenet)
