Here's my question. Do you need multiple ModernBill licenses (or leases) to run ModernBill if you have multiple servers?

Of course it's only going to be used by my company, but we have multiple servers. Can MB auto setup accts on multiple servers?

Thanks.

Yes because it's licensed for your domain only. Eg we have myacen.com, if we wanted to use it for myacen.net we would need a new license.

I don't think so.

We signed up as domain.com, and we can use it with any domain we wish, they never told us anything about it.

We were using 3.x version though, and we will are :)
Just wondering if its something they added on the new version?

Yes.

To run the software itself on multiple domains requires additional licenses. But to create accounts on multiple remote Plesk/Cpanel/??? servers you only need the one base install of MB.

Can you use it without migration effectively?

Ex.
Install Moderbill on one server and keep all account information for x amount of servers on that server, BUT only gather account signup and billing information from customers and process it all manually and create accounts on the multiple servers manually?

In otherwords i want it to just allow me to collect info via order form and then manually do everything else...

Does it support automatic billing with authorize.net or do you have to upload and submit info daily, monthly , etc.?

Yes, you can set the order form to not create any accounts/packages on the database, and just send the emails (to you and the client). Once payment has been received by whatever method, you can then create the ModernBill records.

I believe so, but not something I have looked too closely at.

ModernBill is licensed on a per-company (or installation) basis, not per server. For all of your servers, you are only going to have one installation, correct? Then you only need 1 license. We're using ModernBill version 3, and we have multiple servers (granted, we are not using cpanel integration yet). The only difference in each signup is the account details, some of which are entered by you, some of which are defined in the main config (which can be changed when you start adding accounts to a new server).
