hey guys,
Well we and a friend were running gatty.NET services, which specialises in webhosting and web/graphic design. We had a dedicated server purchased, and tday we have been advised that the company is no longer functining, taking our server with them, which we payed 1 year in advance for :(

Becuase of this loss, we don't have enough capital to purchase one straight away until we can secure some future clients to help cover costs.

So i'm asking you this; would you sign up for the following deal?

Does not seem like a bad deal at all, but seems a bit on the cheap side. It would make me investigate the service. thats less than a $1/gig where are they making there money at ?

they?

I am the owner of gatty.NET. We are keeping our plans cheap, mainly aiming at the smaller sites such as phpBB or VB forums etc, nothing too big just yet. Believe me the service quality was, and still will remain amazing.

Also, I should have mentioned that is a special introductory offer, as I said we are trying to secure future customers for capital :D

Ooo sorry, I thought you were saying that you were interested in a company with this offer.

Yes It is good priced but I would worry you are overselling bandwith a bit much.

As long as you can deliver good service with it Its a good deal

also just went to your site and got this

Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.

yes, thats where my dedicated server *was*, for some reason my 600gig of bandwidth has been used up :p

Just joking, thats because they limited all acocunts bandwidth to 0 when they shut down :bawling:

I would have to ask then if you are reselling space, or if you have your own dedicated?
and you have used up 600 gigs already wow. now thats a lot of transfer

I had a dedicated server purchased, I had 600 gb of bandwidth quota, yet when the company went through it's steps to close down, it reset my quota to 0, thus disabling my server without removal f my fiels untl I find another, get it?

No, I would not.

Since you posted in this thread, I am taking this as a request for advice. I would not sign up with a new host, selling 15GB bandwidth for $9.95. I look at your pricing and don't see you building a survivable business on that basis. Furthermore, I would certainly not sign up with anyone who is trying to pre-sell to get money to afford a server to host the account. I strongly advise you to get a reseller account, build slowly but with plans that can be profitable, and grow into a server.

we have been through reseller packages before, and had 3 clients stay with us when we moved to our old dedicated server.

The company "Dedi-Online" has left me with a $600 loss due to that fact I paid for a year in advance and only used it for a few months, that's the only reason why we are trying to pre-sell. Also, this price was a *special*, the package listed abve wuold usually sell for $14.95/month under our old billing system.
