I'm sure it's possible, however, it may be difficult when you're trying to transfer the money in your PayPal 'account' to a bank account.

The problem would be in having a different paypal account holder name and bank account holder name. I'm sure you'll be ok with the name difference on the credit card.

Not pointing fingers, rather a reminder that paypal's services aren't to be used by folks under the age of 18 ;)

Hi,

As an aside, you have to be listed on the account that you are registering. If we do a review, and this review shows that you are not authorized on the account, then we will end up restricting the account until you prove you are authorized to use the card.

PayPal Damon, when are you going to accept UK bank accounts to make the account verified, also are you planning to accept uk debit cards? such as switch.

Cheers.

So to prove I can use that card I must verify right?

My experience is that when I sign up, they charge 1 dollar to my credit card with a code that I have to use to verify my credit card. So technically, as long as you have the credit card number, and has access to the credit card statements, you are considered proven to be authorised to use the card, which probably isn't too far from the truth. It's of course technically possible to be not authorised and have access to both information, but I guess it's not likely.

Well I am authorised to use the card :) *waits for the statement*

If you bank has good customer service, you can also contact them to provide the code. They usually verify verbally some details to prove you are who you claim to be and would be more than willing to help after. That will help in the sense that you will not need to wait one month to get a verified account. I know paypal discourage this. But personally, my bank has no issues when I call up asking to check items on my bill prior to the statement.
