I want to find out some info on

hostany.com
dathorn.com
hostabox.com
eryxma.com

i've done searches on this board about them and found out that info... but how do you really know what their network and quality is for their machines?

I have read before about people pinging ip addys to find out information about how good a hosts connection is.... can someone tell me how this is done? and when i get the information how do i know if the results are good or bad?

Ask them what datacenter they use. Also ask them what kind of servers they use.

If you're using a Windows machine - Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Command Prompt. Then type cd\ and press enter. Then type ping IPaddress etc... [see attached screenshot]
and when i get the information how do i know if the results are good or bad?
