View Full Version : Looking for a Reseller

I'm looking to start my own company, I have a very good website going, etc.

My main concern is reliability.

I'd like 50GB+ space
1500GB+ Bandwidth
Unlimited accounts/domains/etc
Domain Reselling
cPanel and WHMCS
Billing/Support system

My budget is around $20-$25 a month, pretty sure that's a reasonable budget for what I'm asking for. I just need someone who is reliable with good uptime.

Thanks for reading

The budget may be reasonable for you but 50gb space with 1.5tb bandwidth and whmcs AND domain reselling for $25/month wouldn't be worth it for most hosts. Lower your requirements (I also recommend taking away the free billing software) OR at least double your budget and you should be able to find something a bit more reliable.

I've already found SurpassHosting which fits my criteria. Now I'm looking for other companies so I can compare.

Will you actually be needing that much space and bandwidth when starting out? Some friendly advice I can offer is to find a host that you can rely on instead of a host who offers the most features, space, bandwidth, etc. for the lowest price. Reputation is crucial to business growth, and as a reseller your hosting plans are only as good as the host you are with, just make sure you are confident in them and their services.

Well, what I've read so far about Surpass is that they're very reliable, they own their own datacenter and they have brilliant support.

I'm just looking for other places so I can compare, and yes I need those resources when starting out.

You won't find many hosting companies who own their own data center, there is major advantages to those who do. Most importantly it shows stability and experience so you don't have to worry about your clients service.

We have a lot of reseller accounts on the different servers of Surpasshosting for years and glad from their services. They are a member of Hostdime family. Their services are very similar. But Hostdime has phone support and little better. I recommend both of them.

Karl, we're delighted that you found us and are seeking more information. Please let us know if you have any questions. I see that you're hosting in Australia currently and may be interested in different international locations.

Does surpass or hostdime provide end user support by default or by adding a fee?

I am currently with an Australian company but they have server colocated in the US, which is what I use.

I have a few clients hosted on my VPS there and it's been going well for quite a while which is my reason behind wanting to become a reseller.

Also, I've contacted your support a couple of times to find out more. They're pretty responsive during the daytime of EST time zones, however, I'm GMT and I'm sometimes waiting over an hour for a reply. This is still good support and I'm not complaining, because it's obvious you won't have as many staff online during these hours.

Surpass prices are really cheap. That alone would put me off.

I would have tried HostGator first. Although as your from the UK can see why you might have choose Surpass instead.

Do you really believe it? Can you show me a hosting company except this one, which will allow you to consum 5TB without to kill the server???

And with this TOS?

Memory usage may not exceed 10% per domain/file/application
CPU usage may not exceed 20% per domain/file/application
Apache connections may not exceed 30 connections

Sorry for those who will try it.

OUCH,
This limit alone puts a handycap on any website that wishes to grow. Just think if a site hosted there is "Slashdotted" or comes under the "Digg effect". A host should allow more then 30 apache connections or not even put a limit as long as it does not impact the servers performance.

I think you need to raise your budget, 1500GB+b/w and WHMCS, wont be within the speculated budget.
