I have to get a title decided in the next couple of weeks for my dissertation for university... can people post some ideas for IT related titles..

I have no idea of a topic yet so if you could post sensible interesting things related to business/IT that would be a nice start for my brainstorming (sensible posts only) :D

Err... I think the idea is to pick a topic first, and a title second. :D

have you got to do a project on a subject and actually write a solution to something or are you just writing about something?

Well its fairly open.

I want to think of a fairly unique subject like
"The use of electronic collaborative environments"

and then analyse and research the subject (is it effective, does it work, hows its implemented, etc.. etc...)

Then maybe try and come out of it all with some unique new idea..

As i said its really wide open right now so any topics/subjects/ideas/areas of interest to do with IT/Business would be a great help for me.

The collaborative environment i may focus on is that used by business working with overseas partners,

Like British Aerospace and Lockheed Martin working on the joint Strike Fighter. They use an electronic environment to share all there work realtime (not notes / files) like 3d models etc..
There are sooo many areas i could research about this sort of thing, from the IT architecture required, to the effect it has on the business itself, also downtime and how that takes effect.

I was thinking about doing something to do with wireless like you suggested jimcarter, but that seems to be a trend at the University I am studying at and im looking for something unique :)

Anyone else have some ideas ? :)

Marketing potential of non-English speaking web hosting.
Increasing productivity in an online company.

hmm, again some nice ideas.
Ill have a look into some of those further.

Im not necessarily looking at online/hosting related topics - But I want to keep it IT related. My course is actually quite business orientated so I need to study some sort of effects too... ie.
"this system and how it effects this" sort of thing :)
