Hi there.
I'm having trouble understanding WHMCS's Domain Registrar area.
I understand I get get an API Reseller account at resellerclub, enom etc. I'm finding it difficult to cough up about $200 for these at the moment;

There is an option of "email" to directly tell me, via email, on what the client wants.
Is it possible to continue with this for a while until I can collect enough funds for a reseller account? (Is a reseller account necessary to run WHMCS?)

Also, I dont have any TLD's in my Order form on the front end, so I can't search for domains. Can I do this without a Reseller Account? How do I do this?

(I've googled, and I'm reading WHMCS's wiki. Thought it would be easier to ask here.)

Thanks for any replies!:agree:

You don't need a reseller account at all of the resellers. You could JUST get one at enom for example and the minimum initial deposit is only $100.

You could have the domain info emailed to you but then where would you register it so that you still have control over it? Would be difficult to do without a reseller account.

You could just open the enom account and not make a deposit until you get your first order through WHMCS...

We provide no-deposit eNom and ResellerClub accounts with all licences purchased direct from WHMCS (you can apply from our client area (http://whmcs.com/members)).

eNom has a $100 minimum top-up when using Credit Card or PayPal; other method have no minimum. ResellerClub has no minimum topup and PayPal is available.

If you you don't want to resell domains, you don't need a reseller account. If you want to resell its better to have one. Also with ResellerClub you don't need to deposit big amount, or you can also get an account from a reputed reseller.

I am not very familiar with WHMCS, but I think there must be an option for domain availability check without reseller account integration.
