View Full Version : giveit2mehosting.com anyone?
Anyone heard anything about this host? Anyone with this host? I searched the webhosting forum [just thread title] and got no results.
They offer 300GB bandwidth on one of their reseller packages, for $75 per month...
UmBillyCord 11-26-2002, 05:56 PM I know nothing of their service. Never heard of them. But they have a Pixelbrick inspired design and the dumbest name around. Honestly, who names a host "Give it 2 me" Hosting. At first, I was like what a great name for an adult host. Then I go to the site and see it is a mainstream, commodity host. Crazy.
fusion 11-26-2002, 06:05 PM they do have a pretty nice design, but i wouldnt go with them if i were you
Centralized 11-26-2002, 06:08 PM Fusion, what is your rationalization for your comment?
ThePrimeHost 11-26-2002, 06:11 PM They have a mailing address and a telephone number. Could be legit, however they are most assuradly overselling their bandwidth. Nice design though.
fusion 11-26-2002, 06:13 PM centralized:
They are clearly reselling bandwidth

you just saved a LOT of people from buying hosting from them. good job :)
also, you cant believe someone that their HOSTING site is not illegal if they infact have a site that is borderline illegal
thats like being a robber, and having someone accuse you of murder. you are still going to seem to be more guilty than the other average joes because you have committed a crime before. pirates=criminals. criminals=bad business, giveit2mehosting=bad company with a bad name (LOL :stickout: ).
sorry for the bad analogy
silversurfer 11-27-2002, 02:06 AM What's wrong with reselling bandwidth? isn't that what every host do?

read above and check out www.giveit2me43.com and you shall see why
silversurfer 11-27-2002, 02:49 AM I already did. That's a separate issue. I am asking more towards the comments that you wouldn't go with them cos they are reselling bw before the thread was brought to attention. Isolating it makes for better objectivity :D
chrisb 11-27-2002, 03:03 AM What 12-year old came up with that name for a hosting company?
Who in their right mind would go with a company named that?
Rhetorical only.
silversurfer 11-27-2002, 03:12 AM Let's not attack other host names.... it's their perogative. I mean if they offer the best services at the best prices, frankly nobody cares a hoot. I don't.

Seems like you enjoy picking fun at other host, but when some relates a point about someones name, it is no OK (look at our other thread together, still waiting for a reply about your post). So are you the new "Whats OK" police?
Sorry, but this is a public forum. And people will voice their opinion, whether you like it or not. If you don't care, then why did you post? I'll tell you what noboby cares a "hoot" about, is the censorship police. Take it elsewhere.
Chris has his right to post whatever the hell he feels like within the *rules*. No where did he flame (well maybe the 12 year old part, but maybe he is right :)) or try to take away business. He just wants to know why someone would name a host "Give it 2 me" hosting? I would like to know the same thing.
Oh, and by the way. Yes, a name says it all. Anyone with any business sense will tell you this. It is about branding, image and setting the correct proffesional tone right off the start. I do not know if some people remember a host called WTFhost or WTFhosting. You would go to their site and they would push the WTF (What The Fu**) part to the max. They are no longer in business.
chrisb 11-27-2002, 02:12 PM I did not mean it as a flame. I just stated what I'm sure many others were thinking.
silversurfer 11-27-2002, 02:56 PM Looks like Umbillycord feels a need to harrass me through WHT with his senseless arguments and high almighthy ego boasting trips. Perhaps he thinks a higher post count has endowed him with intelligence and rights to rule over everybody else. I already did reply to the previous thread yesterday or so. It's a pity you missed the gem. I had never picked fun at other hosts. You just randomly picked up some threads and explain it out of context. Therefore I do not wish to answer to that. Cos each and everyone of those posts didn't mean it the way you intepreted. You simply pick on it and twisted it to suit your senseless attacks.
I do agree a name says a bit about their branding and professional image. However my point is simply: if they do have clients who don't mind, is hosted, and don't have complains about their service, there really isn't a need to pick on the name because by then, what they had done will supercede any poor choice of name. That's all I meant. So I aren't "censoring" anything. Why don't you go and flame all the moderators then =) claiming that they are indulging in "censorship police" and tell them to go elsewhere. =) Cos for sure my comments are a lot milder and actions a lot less.
