Hello,

I tried some unfruitful google searches and wanted to draw on others' experiences.

I'm currently looking for local tide information for my area. A free resource would be preferred, but isn't necessary. I also know that tides 'could' be pre-calculated, and if anyone knows anything about this that would be neat.

Thanks for your collective help in advance!

What did you Google for? I hit a U.S. tide chart (http://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/t2help.html) right away (http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=how+to+calculate+tides).

I need something that I can pull in to PHP, I don't think loading in a full web page and filtering out the content that I want is the cleanest solution, although may be necessary.

I'm looking for more of a SOAP or API call that I can make, much like the weather channel has for weather forcasts.

Interesting question.

I found a free program called Xtide, which has a command-line interface as well as a GUI. It also has a web server option.
