i've had "cyberaxess" and "design r web" recommended to me on a newsgroup,
and i was just wondering whether anyone here cares to share their opinions
about them? has anyone here had any bad experiences with either company?

It gets censored cos they been banned .. so that would mean that they are NOT the best to go with

It's not worrying as long as you don't go with them =) . never heard of the other as well. You may want to do a search. If nothing turns up, it simply means the members here are probably not too familiar with them.

The xact reasons for banning are decided by the moderators .... you may wish to contact Chicken ... that's not an animal , it;s the moderator here ... and ask him why they were banned ...

Usually people are banned for being nasty on the forums but also for Spamming, providing fraudulent service or ripping people off, so even though this forum is NOT the definitive answer to you worries you should use it as a guidline ....

If you get 20 responses here and they all say thatthe guys are bad .. well then don't go with them ...
