Hello guys,

I am very new to this. I just asked a guy (here local business) about reseller hosting. He said that if I pay 79$ per year I will get 10 Domain Names and their Hosting. Is it worth for the money? Please let me know.

thanks.

Probably not because it barely covers the registration fees of most TLDs. Are you sure this comes with real hosting accounts or is it just a kind of domain parking? Are these really 10 domain names or just subdomains or the possibility to create a certain number of add-on domains?

I don't know about the other company's prices. But this comes with real hosting ( he told me that its sure that I can resell this 10 domain names with 10 different hosting accounts). I don't know will this is a cheap price or not. All the domains can be newly registered with my account. Waiting for your further advices.

Thanks

Okay, with reselling that's a different thing. The price/value ratio depends first on the space/bandwidth and related features that come along, then some other features like control panel etc. and last not least reliability of server and other services. The domain names you mention are probably the number of accounts you will be able to host/resell while you'll actually have the domains registered by your potential customers through whatever registrar. You best go through the reseller offers section to get a feeling for reselling plans. The major caveat is to stay away from unlimited plans.

10 domains + hosting for $79/yr? Stay away from them. A domain doesn't come that cheap. Besides, the price is increasing for .com and .net again. :(

$7.90 for a domain might be alright depending on what company you choose but I would pay $100 instead of $79 and get reseller hosting for $20 a month instead.

i think he is giving you hosting for 10 domains..................not the 10 domain names and hosting

This is possible if you choose for 9 addon domain hosting AND depending the TLD you choose for the domains. Success

Exactly, I think he will give space for creating 10 domains. You need to take care of registration.

That's what I was thinking. Don't see how you'd make any money from providing 10 free domains plus hosting at that price per year...If it was per month, then ok, you'll be making some profits from the second month on.

OP should ask the host again to clarify.

Aren't .info domains going for $1.99?

$19.90 for domains + $5/month hosting, just a thought

The amount $79 hardly covers to purchase 10 domains...

I agree with others that the cost of domains would eat most if not all of that price. And then there is the cost of hosting. $79/yr for 10 domain registration and web hosting just seems too low. If you do it, don't expect much out of it.

Ok, most everyone here is misunderstanding what he is offering you. He is offering you to host 10 domains for $79, hes not going to let you register for $79. You aren't going to be able to profit anything off that on a reseller.

Maybe with .info domains when GoDaddy has the $1.99 special and a host who has got a pc running in the garage selling unlimited reseller plans for $5 on ebay...
