Hi,
is host c i a trademark? (put the last two letters in the front)
I have looked but I haven't find anything.
Please help.
Thank you
PS I entered it as one word and got ******. Why? Is it a "bad" word? :)

if its ****** out then it means they have been banned from WHT for something like spamming.

I'm not sure if this applies internationally but there are no results for a UK search from here:

If you take the banned name and add .com, you will find a very large hosting company in Texas. I am not sure why they are banned here (I have used them for years without too much trouble). I wish there was a banned page so we know why certain things are banned.

We could create the worlds longest thread on that subject and still not properly cover it. Just search here and a few other places (here you will have to use name variations). Check places like resellerconnection. Check google groups and news postings. Research and you will understand.
As to why banned here...typically board spam is the cause. Otherwise, it is other misbehavior here on the forum. Generally, does not have to do with outside activity unless originating from the forum.

I have found out who they are.
I want to know if a domain that contains their name has trademark issues.

If it has their name in it, I would imagine there would be an issue. Whether or not there was a violation, I would expect them to take legal action quickly. I would not recommend getting into such a situation. Chris's mommy is an attorney and he is not hesitant about using her.

To be on the safe side, you should ask them before you make your site live. Or get the help of a good lawyer :)
