Thanks,

I haven't checked out their site yet, but is it fairly simple to install and customize their application?

thanks again,

It is *extremely* simple to install (5 minutes if you go really slowly) and fairly easy to customize (some modifications can be done via the CP). Beyond that, you can hack away at teh php files, etc.

We also see the value of vbullitin and are installing tonight for release end of this month on our site for a community building project

You'll be pleased with how easy it is to install and setup.

Hi,
Does vB support integration with my existing username/password database?

Also, does anyone know of a free PHP/MySQL script that allows integration with my existing member list and passwords without any modification of the script or some easy modification? I searched on hotscripts but I coulnd not find this specific piece of information.

I would like to try a free script first and then, if it's not enough as my site is not very big, I'll think about vB.

Thanks,
Wing.

You will have to do modification by your own, I believe.
And a question, what existing username/password database?

P.S. Vbulletin is good, indeed very good. UBB can't even be compared. (I am a former user of UBB)

You can also try Phpbb

www.phpbb.com
Very very good considering its free. it is also php/mysql , installed in 4-5 mins with cp.
Has got lots of updates and patches on the site too which are contributed by its users.

Worth a look.
