I searched the web (Google) for sites having nice tutorials on HOW TO LEARN FLASH... but didn't come across any great sites yet.

Would you guys please mention the URLs of web sites you may be aware of having decent tutorials on learning FLASH?

Thanks.

flashkit.com has the best collection.
The best way to learn Flash -- as a tool for making good, interactive websites rather than just for stuff that flashes -- get the book "Flash Foundation" by Friends of ED
http://www.friendsofed.com
And work through it from front to back. You'll learn how flash works and what can be done with it rather than just the showy stuff.

For very basic flash - have you gone thru the tutorials included with flash? They are a great introduction.

Thanks guys for your input. I did go through all the tutorials under FLASH > HELP but I felt intimidated. The style of explanation is not for total newbies i guess.

I am thinking of going about studying Flash by starting off with readymade flash toos like SWISH. after i get some confidence, then i will feel more at ease when using Macromedia's Flash program.

Any other programs like SWISH out there? Maybe the kind web designers here could suggest a few names.

www.flashkit.com tutorials.
Or if you are really interested in it maybe take a class?

Swish is not flash, it is just useless effects which you see on a lot of websites these days. Stay away from swish, flash may take a little while to learn. But it is fun and has a great end result.

Thanks DJiMPaCT... you right about SWISH being extremely limited. But it did help me getting started off sooner like understanding things like how the TimeLine works for instance. Unfortunately I am not that sharp above my shoulders when it comes to learning anything with a steep learning curve... like mastering Macromedia's Flash Program which seems to be so incredibly powerful.

Could you suggest some other Flash tools similar to Swish?
