Any past history I should know? rghf 01-17-2006, 10:30 AM This thread is 4 years old... Rus camango 01-17-2006, 10:34 AM Netacore is a web hosting service that was ok a few years ago, but suffered a lot of downtime. Norm, the owner, was quite good at communicating with his customers. Nowadays, the service is gone, no communication whatsoever, and my emails and files are trapped somewhere on Netacore's servers. why, have you been hearing much about it? i can't imagine i'm the only one who is going through all of this camango 01-17-2006, 10:43 AM very true, Rus but not much is being elsewhere about Netacore, so i think it should come up when people search them out is there a better place for me to find information, or possibly other people who have had problems with netacore? PRQ. 01-30-2006, 04:23 PM I'm a former Netacore customer. I've held a regular hosting account with them for four years. I opened a reseller account with them a couple of years ago but had to move it to another provider within a few months because of the sheer amount of downtime and absolute lack of customer service. I kept the other account going, mainly due to inertia: it was the $5/month Lite plan, and not worth transferring to my reseller account. Not worth it, that is, until the major downtime issues began in the fall. At some point in December, Netacore seemed to go down for good. I'd nearly given my data on that server up for lost, but Netacore's services miraculously came back online last week, and I used that three-hour window of availability to get everything off the Netacore server and finally close my account. camango, I'm sorry to hear you're still in the bind. Keep trying. It seems like the service flickers on and off in its dying throes. Norm Sherman seemed like an okay guy, and took care of the problems when he actually bother to reply to me. I always got the feeling he was his only employee and that he was incredibly overworked. It didn't make for good hosting service. I would recommend against choosing Netacore for your hosting needs, except that I don't really need to. Their site has been down for a month now. Netacore is dead. cairken 02-08-2006, 05:00 PM I am also a Netacore customer, and have my personal website there. Have not had time to do anything with it in the last 4 months, so I haven't even been visiting it. I saw that my bill happened normally each month, so I didn't worry!!!! How long has it been down? I think I'll have to try to call 2checkout.com tonight to cancel the billing, but I need to know how many months to try to get my money back for. Has anyone had any luck retrieving files? I know I should have a backup of my php scripts somewhere, but it could take a while to remember where it is.... ugh!! this sucks. I'd been a customer for years! :crap: |
