Hey all. I am currently with DixieSys and although I love what they offer and their support is great, the servers are just slow way too often. And recently I have been trying to upload some 30+ MB video files and while uploading to the server the transfers time out at about 3 MB.

So I need a new host. I have looked into GearHost but I am skeptical about switcing to a windows based host.

So maybe someone could recommend me a host based on what I need:

15+ GB transfer
300+ MB Storage
PHP
mySQL
FTP

Those are the most important things. Obviously other features would come into play.

I am looking for a host that is $20 or a less a month. Now this can include pre-pay plans that come out to be less than $20 a month. Such as Gearhost who offers packages that prepay that are considerably less.

I woud go with GearHost but Im worried aobut switching to Windows so let me know if you think I will be ok swiitching and I will just do that. Otherwise help me out. THanks.

Try posting in web hosting requests and see what you get offered.

Maybe you should just talk with Gary about the problems you're having. Perhaps he might be able to work up a solution for you.

I'm currently with spenix.com and get 300mb, 8gb. So far I'm very pleased with their services and support if you'd like to give them a look :)

I've been with jaguarpc.com for a little less than 2 years. There advanced plan which I have has 350mg of space and 12gigs of bandwidth. There support is great too, they have a forum, ticket support and email. I've found in the past that ticket support is the fastest.
