Has anyone here ever used addaction.net for their hosting needs? Are you satisfied with the service? Experience any downtime?

As useless as this probably sounds/is, i have no clue :P

I have used AddAction before. The support is excellent, and friendly.

There are just a few quirks with them, the main one being the numerous amount of downtime. Many times, the downtime is a couple minutes each day a few days a week (so if you have a busy site, this may be trouble for you). Note that they do not have any uptime guarantee on their website.

Well it's great to hear they have nice support i guess, maybe they shouldwork on an uptime guarantee next :)

It would be nice for members of WHT to not tell any lies. Our servers are NOT down every day a few minutes (as this in itself does not make any sense) and we do have a 99.7% uptime guarantee (by the way posted on the website).

Im hosted with addaction and I am very happy with service, I havnt had any downtime at all as far as I know!! If there is, its not enough to notice and I have a pretty busy site too.

Well, I've been using multiple uptime monitors, and they have given me reports at around the same time of downtime.

Although, I have to say, the downtime isn't much at all-- And it isn't noticeable.

Also, where is the uptime guarantee on the Addaction.net website?

What services are you using? We use 3 different ones, one of them the popular Alerta.com. They have not reported any downtime on the server you are on. Also the logs don't show anything...

My client has been with addaction for almost 3 months. Uptime, I can say it's been really good (my client is really really happy). I only know of it being down twice. Oh and it was down for like 20-30 seconds last week friday (I was demoing my clients website and I bit my tongue for half a minute). Other than that, uptime is very good and support response is quick when using their ticketing system and connection seems pretty fast.. :)

I've been with them about a month and besides some small downtime, as with any host - they've been superb!

I think that addaction.net is a good host. By comparing with my previous host ( aletia/jaquarpc), addaction is much more superior, I can see a big difference in support and up time.

With "the Plan", 99.7 uptime guarantee, you can't go wrong.

I have been with addaction.net since October. I have been very satisfied, especially with their customer support.

My previous hosting company (hostfinity.com) was a nightmare as well as a lot more expensive. Their servers were slow, customer support was poor, and they shut down my entire website without warning, claiming my scripts were using too much CPU. This was after they moved me to a new server which 'broke' a number of my pages because the server was not configured properly.

I switched to addaction and have had no problems since. My scripts, that use to take 30-45 seconds to run on my old host, now take about 3-5 seconds to run. All my support questions have been answered within minutes!!! The uptime has been very good, but I do not use any uptime monitor for my site.

I would not hesitate to recommend addaction.
