Hi,

I would like to compare the server speeds of my current host and the host I would like to move to in the near future. I have been reading about "ping" and "traceroutes" but can anyone explain to me what these utilities do exactly? I basically want to see how fast my pages load so I can compare. My site uses PHP/MySQL heavily.
