I need some help to fix the dns redirection in godaddy to point to my hosting provider.

Short story:
I got google apps to work with the domain hosted on godaddy, but lost domain's nameserver redirection to stablehosting.com because I used godaddy's Total DNS Control feature.

Long story:
I used godaddy's Total DNS Control to setup google apps. This made me lose redirection to my hosting (stablehosting.com).

In the Total DNS Control I setup two A records:
@ 72.249.127.244
@ 72.44.85.146

Cnames:
mail ghs.google.com
calendar ghs.google.com
docs ghs.google.com
sites ghs.google.com
www @
mobilemail mobilemail-v01.prod.mesa1.secureserver.net
pda mobilemail-v01.prod.mesa1.secureserver.net
email email.secureserver.ne
imap imap.secureserver.net
pop pop.secureserver.net
smtp smtp.secureserver.net
ftp @
webmail webmail.secureserver.ne
e email.secureserver.net

But the default ns cannot be changed
NS:
@ ns61.domaincontrol.com
@ ns62.domaincontrol.com

Can anyone give me some hints on how I could fix this?

Whois shows this:
Domain servers in listed order:
NS61.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS62.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

Thanks,

I see that the 2 IPs (you configured on A records) are the DNS from stablehost.com.

In this case you should erase both A records and add and A record to point to the webserver. You can check for this IP where you manage DNS at stablehost.

or do you want to continue to use old DNS ?

or do you want to continue to use old DNS ?Well, I thought that I need to add the nameservers given by stablehost

Nameserver 1: ns1.stablehost.com (72.249.127.244)
Nameserver 2: ns2.stablehost.com (72.44.85.146)

Should I have added the Server IP (74.63.216.74) instead?

Please note that I want to manage google apps config from godaddy and not from stablehost. This is in case I switch hosts.

Update: Thanks panzerfly I think I got it to work.

For future reference, use server IP as A record in godaddy.

Yep! (and it's stablehost.com) not stablehosting.com

Welcome onboard!

You can use which way you want:

1. registrar (in this case GoDaddy) DNS
2. webhosting provider (in this case stablehost.com) DNS

the choice is yours. Any choice you make the DNS settings will be the same (of course the NS records will differ) just that they will sit in other place :)
