I recently posted a request for quotes for a dedicated server and got what looks like a very good quote from www.atwebhost.com.

Has anyone used/is using this company and can comment on service/performance/etc.

On a wider note other than PING is there any other way I can test likely performance of a web host.

I am based in UK and want to compare response times against UK Hosting Companies.

ask for a test file to download to check the speeds to the uk.

Have you done a traceroute to see how many hops away they are and if there are any "bottlenecks" between the UK and them?

Also try clicking search (top right) to see what others have posted about the company in the past.
