Hello,

I am wondering, where can I find a cheap host?

I have a web site idea with very basic requirements:
1- Should host domain names
2- Should offer 5 MB space, 1 GB transfer
3- Password protected directories.

Anyone can recommend a good cheap host? So far I have $10 per year. any better offers?

Good Luck. There are some out there, but not too many are going to give you 1 GB of transfer a month for about .83 per month.

try asking in web hosting requests and see what you get

I dont believe in offering such cheap hosting. Do you expect a years support included in that $10 ? pfft!!

Hell this is WHT you could virtually get 4GB of space and 100GB transfer for that.

While I doubt you will get any realistic offers you might want to go to the hosting requests forum and just say hey I have $10 for a year any takers.. you are sure to get aleast someone to give you an offer. Good luck!

Thanks all for your advice. I decided to go for the $10 people.

I have another $5 a month for my other web site, which comes with good support, but this one is for this small project. If this project turns out to be a flop, then oh well it never costed more than $18 capital (domain included), if it is a sucess, I will move it to my good host. I just can't risk much nowadays
