I withdrew money from my Paypal account into my savings account on December 29th. It says it takes 3-4 business days to deposit and normally takes about 2 for Paypal to deposit money into my checking account. It should be in my bank account tomorrow, right?

Thanks Yajur. I had the holidays in mind, but there have already been like 4 business days inbetween the holidays, which makes me wonder. Do you know what time the banks post deposits online? If I don't have that money today, I'm in trouble...

If you withdrew it on the 29th, depending on the time of day, the 29th would count.

In which case, you'd have the 30th, 31st and today (just), so far. So, you're still within the 3 - 4 day advertised window. :)

Today being the 4th of January, correct? Because the banks had to be open on Saturday in the US. It's illegal for them to be closed 3 days in a row, which would have been Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

So, today is the 4th business day, not including the 29th, and it's still not in my account. Then again, it's only 3 am here...

I would wait a little more, some times it takes a little longer. Plus they might have a long que right now of deposits to clear, it is after all the holiday weekend.

In most countries, I think you'll find that Saturday is not counted as a bank working day. :)

It was illegal for the bank to be closed on Saturday in America this week. I explained above.

Just because a bank is open in Saturday (most banks in the UK are open for some length of time on a Saturday), does not mean they are processing electronic or cheque payments (automated credit/debit). :)

Yes,

Youre right. Banks only process payments Mon-Fri.

I think the biggest thing most are missing is the bank may not be closed... but the paypal system maybe as there not a BANK and don't have to follow bank rules...

Also it depend on a bank daily deposit close day... Then the days start 3-4

It says in their policy that the transfers take up to 3-4 business days which are Monday to Friday.

Monday-Friday SATURDAY and SUNDAY do not count. HOLIDAYS do not count.

That's how it is for me too. Even though the site says 3-4 business days to deposit to a Canadian bank account, I always receive the funds in my account within 2 days.

I too withdrew funds on the 29th, and it was around 8 PM. It ended up in my bank account on the 31st. If you haven't received it yet, I would assume there was a problem with the withdrawal. I would call them by phone to clear it up.
