Hey folks,

Been a while since i last posted on WHT. So here's my question.

I'm looking for a reseller host who supports DirectAdmin and doesn't cost more than $15/mo. I need 2IP's. And if the setup has suPHP it would be great.

If you can add a billing system it would be great.

My Disk space & B/W requirements are very low. Say like 3GB HDD & 10-15GB BW is more than enough for me.

Thanks

Did you check in the "offer" section? Also do you want a VPS or a shared hosting account will be enough?

Thanks for the response.

I looked in the offers section and there seems to be only 3 providers who provides DA reselling option.

I have only a few sites to be hosted and i already have a VPS with DA. It's just that i don't have the time to meddle with and look after the VPS as much as i did earlier.

So i'm actually moving back to cut my costs and relieve me from server management.

WHMCS costs between $12.95 and $15 dollars per month, so it will be difficult to find a reseller situation for the same price as WHMCS and still get it for free.

There aren't many DA hosts out there and even fewer that do reselling. The ones that I generally recommend are medialayer and precision effect and both don't do reseller packages. I used to also recommend VectorLevel and they did have reseller accounts, but since the ownership change (possible twice now), it seems their rep as taken a hit.

Idologic.com (http://www.idologic.com/reseller/index.php) would be my first choice but they're a little over your budget.

Here are some affordable DA hosts:

I'd recommend powerMonster! I've got a DirectAdmin reseller account with them that I use to host some of my webdesign clients. Scott is always very helpful (and responsive) and the host has a great personal touch. I know they just launched some new reseller plans as well!

Thank you for submitting domains that verify your experience with them.

Hopefully in 3-6 months times you'll still be with them and will post a review here. We could use more DA hosts and DA host reviews.

True True. I was one giving hosting with DA, but i now don't have the time to be full time webhost. So that's why i went down to a reseller.

According to who-is information, tiny-site's IP belongs to vaultnetworks.com. The ns IP's and my hosted IP belongs to virpus.com. Maybe they're using virpus vps but so far the service is really good. Virgil even offered me a free dedicated IP.
The server H/W reported is an Intel Xeon E5310 8-cores (DQ's i guess). Server load was on avg @ 0.5 which is great for a DQ. Site loading time is ok i guess, didn't feel any sluggish behavior.

So far so good.

It's possible their main web site/billing/support site are hosted with Virpus and clients are hosted in a separate data center.

Yep,

That's a very good startegy. I really like hosts that use a separate host for their own sites. We'll see how they hold on ;)

Thanks again.

A forum poster here on WHT brought this to my attention almost a year ago. At that time Sedo assured me that the page would be removed ASAP. I won't be so friendly this time. :D

gunemalli, glad to have you aboard. Let me know if you need anything.
