If the e-mail account is not hosted IN the server, no.

If he uses Google Apps, then he can delete from there.

The customer use your webhosting but email hosting is somwhere else.

Well, I suppose this can be done, but I don't know any way which let you delete a remote email.

Do you have root access to this cPanel server? If so, you'll have to log in to the client's account in order to do it, I believe. If you're a reseller, same thing. If you're hosting his domain on your account at the user-level on somebody else's box, then you can do it directly from your normal cpanel screen.

Bear in mind, though, that simply deleting his email account won't make email magically flow to the other provider. You'll have to change the MX records for his domain so that they match the ones that the new ISP gave him.

You can delete a remote e-mail account using the control panel. You will have to ssh to the server and remove the required files manually.

Using cPanel/WHM a user can delete e-mail accounts hosted on that server only.

Yes using Cpanel you can delete his email hosted by you. it doesnt matter with the emails if he already changed the MX records of the domain name and pointing to his new server provider servers.

ummm....am i the only one lost about this question? Does your client want to maintain his hosting account with you to host his website but not host his email?

do u have the DNS mail records pointed elsewhere? If so that is where the deletion needs to take place
