On Wednesday November 27th, I will open this website to 25-30 beta-testers. The site operates on the same "principal" as hostabuse.com, but boasts innovative and far more advanced features. If you're interested in becoming an early adopter of this technology contact me (privately through WHT) with the following information:
1. your name
2. your company name
3. your company url
4. years in business
5. approx. number of clients
6. whether you'd be willing to integrate the your order form with the new site's xml-rpc api (yes or no)
7. finally, an email address I can use to get back to you
Priority will be given to those who are willing to help test the api. Otherwise, patience and a desire to combat fraud is all I require.
I'll be in touch with all interested parties on Wednesday. Thanks for your interest.
Wow. You want people to give you all that info without knowing who you are?

Its really not that much info...appx. numbers aren't that personal, and he would be able to tell by your domain (most likely).

Heck, how about an explanation of what this fraud abuse scheme actually does?

Your cynicism has been noted. Here are my revised requirements:
1. your company url
2. whether you'd be willing to integrate the your order form with the new site's xml-rpc api (yes or no)
3. email address (if this info can't be gleaned from your website)
and my privacy policy:
"I hereby express complete indifference to your email addresses and pledge not to reveal them under the threat of death or violence."
As I mentioned, the new site operates on the same "principal" as hostabuse. That is, in essence it acts as a centralized repository of negative IP and domain name data. The site however, is not a "blacklist" in the sense that this negative data is haphazardly thrown into one giant pool. Rather, each member maintains their own collection of negative data and reinforces this collection through their relationships with other members.
Rather than determine a verdict that's solely dependant on the existence of negative data, the site employs a customizable point system that evaluates a set of criteria and compares these points to a threshold. Currently, the system can detect free email addresses (over 60k), anonymous proxy servers and whether customers and their IPs originate from the same country.
Anyone who tries the site will see that I'm serious about making it a practical and effective tool for webhosting companies. I don't however, intend to reveal the site's url until it officially launches. Again if you're interested in helping to beta-test the site get in touch with me privately through WHT. Thanks for your interest.
