For Windows 2000 the only option we have is the following: Right click on desktop >> Properties >> Effects >> Smooth Edges of Screen Fonts. I don't have XP so I dont know if that carries the same effect. shaunewing 11-24-2002, 11:08 PM I like to refer to "ClearType" as "Blurry Type", I rather my text nice and crisp. Before ClearType: http://www.shaunewing.com/miscimages/cleartype-off.png After ClearType: http://www.shaunewing.com/miscimages/cleartype-on.png It hurts my eyes just looking at it. Anyway, I'm not sure about Win2k, I know one can smooth the edges of the screen fonts as flitcher says but I always thought ClearType was introduced in WinXP? --Shaun (who doesn't have a 2k machine available to look at the moment). Vex 11-24-2002, 11:14 PM I agree, I have XP and ClearType makes me a little dizzy. filburt1 11-25-2002, 09:35 AM Yes it looks blurry but in the end I like it better. So there's no way? :( |
