Hey guys ive just started my web hosting site but im not open to the public. Its Invite/suggested only which seems to be working really well ive got a few websites hosted with me already! just after 3weeks.
I am offering the following packages:
2GB Webspace - 5GB Bandwidth - 10 Emails - 10 Sub-domains - 5 MySQL for £2 a month.
4GB Webspace - 10GB Bandwidth - 15 Emails - 15 Sub-domains - 5 MySQL for £3 a month.
6GB Webspace - 15GB Bandwidth - 20 Emails - 20 Sub-domains - 5 MySQL for £5 a month.
What are your views on the deals and what they come with and the cost? I also have an Add Ons page where my clients can pay like 50p for 5 + extra emails etc...

They look pretty reasonable prices but for £3/month up to have unlimited databases/email addresses/sub-domains.
Also for the amount of disk space I would say the bandwidth is rather low. I would consider something like 20GB 40GB & 60GB for bandwidth.

Which market do you target? The disk space seems rather low, when you are going against the unlimited host. Even for local clients I would be looking at increasing the amount of disk space. Also why these limits on the number of mysql, email accounts etc. especially for the higher plans?

One thing i look for is a website that does not offer unlimited features because we all know theres no such thing as "Unlimited" I know where your thinking but i wont be offering unlimited features. I would also like to keep on top of how many emails, sub-domains, etc.. each account is using.
As for the bandwidth wouldn't that be to much? I wont be hosting any big websites/forums etc.. Ill only be hosting personal sites and small sites. In the past ive had a forums with over 400 members and around 100 were active daily and i barely used 40gb a month bandwidth. I may just have 10 20 & 30gb bandwidth to test with atm to see what my friends will be using.
But thanks for your input.

It will be reasonable to put limits on the disk space and bandwidth, but not on number of e-mail accounts and mysql databases. You can keep them for starter packs but I will recommend your to remove the limits for higher plans

My hosting is mainly for friends & family. I dont plan on hosting Companys etc.. And they were realy just to see what the plans would be at and get others views etc..

Ok i seem to think ive marked my plans up wrong. Ill take some time to think of some better deals.
But as said i dont wish to offer unlimited features.

If you offered unlimited databases and email addresses they cannot add unlimited. They would still be limited by their disk space.
It does not look good limiting these features. The likelihood is they will not even use them anyway. By offering them they seem like the customer is getting more for their money.

Intersting. I would just increase the bandwidth a little bit even if I had to add 0.90 to each price.
