I am asking here the same old question, but with a difference and hope that this criteria would help many other users.

In your opinion, who is the best hosting provider (ded server/VPS only)

In order to keep the list not too long, please evaluate on the following points (not only the service and hardware quality) . Although the following points, may be used in order of priority, but you can have some other ordering priority, but please do not ignore any of the points.

- Longevity of provider in business (exclude providers who are in biz for less than 2 yrs. New providers - I am not really trying to ignore you, but you may have fair chance, when someone evaluates you later... My apologies for the time being)

- Your experience with provider should at least be one year

- Using safest mechanism of Credit cards payment (directly using payment gateways and not storing Credit Card info with them, if possible. At this point it is important to observe that many providers have order form mechanism, such that CC info is passed on to them as email - the least safe mechanism. On the other hands, many use the gateways so that they are never concerned with CC info, they just get the payment cleared via gateways)

- Honesty and fairness in charging (Credit cards - I mean no undue charges, proper and honest refunds or compensation thereof. Also complex and unfair terms of service leading to disputes later should be considered bad for this)

- Quality of service (network/hardware uptime etc)

- Quality of Support (response time, and time to attend, quick and honest response on AIM, YIM, ICQ is a plus)

- Quality of support (Using latest stable softwares, updates ) - this point may be ignored, if not applicable as per their terms

- Pricing

Hope this helps all. Please post just 1-3 names here based on *Overall* evaluation, to be brief. Also, if possible please refrain from criticising any providers - just mention good ones.
