and here I was thinking scientists were smart.

Ostenson noted that the computer manual did warn against operating it directly on exposed skin but said the patient had lap burns even though he had been wearing trousers and underpants.

and the painful burning sensation wasn't a giveaway that he should move the laptop?? :)

:laugh: actually my laptop does get extremely hot after using it for an hour or two. It gets hot enough that it automatically shuts off and I have to restart the damn thing....

Now my question is as I have heard to notebook computers reffered to as both "Laptops" and "Labtops" which is correct or are they both.

never heard of labtop before. Laptop is the common term for them, though that's being replaced with Notebook more often than not.

Fortunatly this happened in Europe and we can't sue companies for just being dumb.

Even if he did do this and win the most he would get out of it is payment for the real cost (medical bill) which his insurance pays anyway.
