Of the above listed options, which do you prefer?
Thanks!
I like easydns.com, and 'I use them for my important domains. With this service you get four name servers of which one is in Europe (I live in Sweden). If you buy a batch of ten you'll pay $149 for primary server and $89 for secondary only. They also give you a mail backup.
dnsmadeeasy.com is much cheaper ($30 for 50 zones). I have only five domains served there but so far they have been very helpful and reliable.
gratisdns.dk is totally free and I use them for around twenty less important domains. You get four name servers in Denmark but you *must* understand some Danish...
I am of the opinion that you need several name servers, especially if you use free ones and normaly it's no problem to have 6-8 name servers . With some registrars you can have up to thirteen name servers.
You also have to look into what security you need as that is different between the options, but in general I would recommend easydns.com. It is a very professional service.

If you are looking to create SOME sub-domains (like 5-10 and NOT hundreds or thousands), you don't need any of those services (paid or free). All you need is a good host (even virtual hosting).
I have more than 100 domains and am running some 50 sub-domains out of them. All for reasonable prices.
